Junk, the Paris-born smash burger brand (Paris, London, Dubai), is celebrating its upcoming opening in New York with a short comedic social media video (Instagram Reel, 25–30 seconds).
The scene takes place at a US airport customs checkpoint. At its heart is an interrogation: a veteran American customs officer questions a traveller with all the suspicion and deadpan seriousness of the real thing, until the comic twist.
THE ROLE – THE US CUSTOMS OFFICER: a veteran officer who has seen it all. Stern, intimidating and unshakeable, he runs the interrogation by the book, with slow questions, long silences and a piercing stare. Beneath the authority lies a dry sense of humour. The comedy comes from how seriously he takes everything.
Speaking role in English. Uniform provided by production.
Male, 40–70 years old (playing age).
ESSENTIAL: native American English speaker with an authentic, natural US accent. We are specifically looking for a native American speaker, not simply someone fluent in English. No noticeable French accent.
Look: authoritative, weathered, unmistakably American. Short or receding hair, natural grey or white welcome, moustache or beard a plus. Should feel like a real customs officer rather than a traditional commercial actor.
Skills: commanding screen presence, strong deadpan comic timing, able to hold tension in an interrogation scene (pauses, stares, raised eyebrows). Expressive without being overly theatrical.
Previous acting experience (film, theatre, commercials or improv) is a plus but not mandatory.
